
This symbol means we must Tap the selected sting and fret with our right hand using our first or second finger (whatever is more comfortable for you) if its your first time tapping it will feel a bit weird.
Stands for Palm Muting to palm mute you must lean your right hand on the strings lightly giving it a deadening sound it also sounds cool for doing crunching patterns or heavy breakdowns!
Ghost Note, to do this you will need to lightly touch the string with one of your left hands fingers while picking with the right hand similar to palm muting but with our left hand.
Stands for Harmonic to achieve this you need to put one of your left hand fingers lightly over the top of certain frets the easiest ones can be found above the 5th, 7th, and 9th frets.
This symbol means we must downstroke (pick downwards)
Upstroke (pick upwards)
Hammer On, means to hit the string with our left hand fingers without picking at all with the right hand.
Pull Off, means to lift the left hands finger off of one of the strings that was being tapped to result in the string resonating the note desired.
Bend Up, this means to bend a string that you are playing upwards.
Release Bend, this is where we release the string that would at the time be bent upwards or downwards releasing it to its normal notational starting point.
Whammy Bar, whenever you see this symbal will mean we are going to be using our whammy bars (provided your guitar has a metal bar screwed in to your guitars bridge). Heaps of cool sounds and sound effects can be produced even a horse neigh can be sounded!
Rake, similar to palm muting but requires deadening across a couple of strings either randomly or maybe just picking down an arpeggio.
Pick Slide, this can be done by getting your pick in the normal playing position then turning it 45 degrees left normally from the bridge of your guitar pushing the pick onto the strings and moving the pick down the neck.
Vibrato, whenever you see this symbal you will be adding an up and down motion with the string the speed, intensity, and styles many guitarist's approach vibrato differs from rist movement, to rotations etc.
